J. Todd Raymond
As CEO and Managing Partner in fifteenfortyseven Critical Systems Realty (1547), Todd is involved with running the operations of the business as well as business development and firm strategy. Mr. Raymond has a reputation of successfully building enterprise value, taking companies from start up to executing an exit strategy. Prior to joining 1547, Mr. Raymond served as CEO, President, COO, General Counsel, Controller and a Director of The Telx Group, Inc. during which time he guided the company through multiple financings, acquisitions, SEC registration and two sales to private equity firms. Prior to joining Telx, Mr. Raymond was a founder of Stratus Services Group, Inc., an engineering and staffing services company, and served as its General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. During his tenure, he guided Stratus through multiple private capital raises, the acquisition of over a dozen businesses, and in April 2000, the Initial Public Offering of the company’s stock on NASDAQ.
Todd holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Fairfield University, a Juris Doctor (JD) from Albany Law School of Union University and is completing a Master of Laws (LLM) in Finance Law from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law.
He is a member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO), the Wine & Food Society of New York and the American Corporate Counsel Association as well as multiple bar and professional organizations.
Mr. Martin is the Chief Construction & Engineering Officer and a co-founder of 1547 and The Martin Group, a premier national datacenter construction firm. With over 25 years of development experience including six years of direct datacenter development expertise, Mr. Martin’s expertise in complex large-scale and fast-track projects has made him knowledgeable about the intricacies of core and shell construction. Mr. Martin has experience in both field supervision and project management of a variety of high-end construction projects nationwide with a track record of value engineering to maintain budget and schedule goals. Through these projects, Mr. Martin has developed relationships industry leading real estate and technology firms.
Mr. Martin attended Stockton College and holds OSHA 30-hour, 7×24 Exchange and AFCOM member licenses and certifications.
Mr. Hynes is a co-founder of 1547 and has worked in the construction industry for the past 30 years. Beginning as a laborer, and working his way through the ranks as a carpenter, supervisor, and project manager, he has gained the confidence and respect of countless clients and design teams by effectively coordinating projects and maximizing resources. His success is attributed to his unrelenting attention to detail. Mr. Hynes is co-owner of The Martin Group, a premier national datacenter construction firm. At The Martin Group, Mr. Hynes oversees construction projects from a full range of services including estimating, purchasing, consulting and general contracting.
Mr. Hynes attended Glassboro State College and holds OSHA 30-hour, 7×24 Exchange and AFCOM member licenses and certifications.
Corey Welp is a co-founder and Managing Partner of 1547. Mr. Welp was instrumental in bringing together the 1547 team. Mr. Welp manages the firm’s Dallas office, the center of finance, sales and marketing initiatives. His responsibilities include investor relations, raising capital, and financial evaluation of all new opportunities. Mr. Welp has proven experience in the datacenter space. He has led the company in three large scale property transactions totaling over 500,000 SF of datacenter space under development. Since the company’s inception, Mr. Welp has guided the investment plan and strategy for each datacenter. Through his active role in the 1547 strategy, Mr. Welp focuses on managing the investment portfolio with an emphasis on balancing risk and opportunity.
Prior to forming 1547, Mr. Welp held executive positions with both boutique and major investment management firms. Mr. Welp has devoted his career to developing a network of investment advisors, family offices, and institutional asset managers. Through this network, investors have trusted Mr. Welp with over $4 billion for investment opportunities in various asset classes, including technology and real estate. Mr. Welp has developed a reputation as a premier innovator, leader and speaker with a focus on developing mutually beneficial relationships with customers and partners.
Mr. Welp holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Creighton University. Mr. Welp is currently a member of AFCOM.
Mr. Oley leads the Financial Planning and Analysis component for datacenter investment and acquisitions at the firm. Mr. Oley has a decade of datacenter real estate expertise in global consulting, acquisitions, dispositions, tenant representation, agency leasing, and economic incentive analysis. He was an original co-founder of a specialty practice group fully dedicated to datacenter real estate solutions at a Fortune 500 company, and has over 500 megawatts of datacenter transactions throughout the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific. Previously, Mr. Oley served as Chief Financial Officer for an environmental technology company where he was responsible for establishing a global business model (expansion strategy), managing capital raises and cash flow projections, and identifying and analyzing strategic M&A opportunities around the globe.
Mr. Oley was a CoreNet Member, TREC Member and Volunteer (R&D Committee), JLL Top Performer, and was nominated and approved to the JLL’s International Leadership Development Program. He holds a BBA from Texas Christian University, an MBA from Arizona State University, and an MA in International Economics and Policy from Southern Methodist University.
