1547 Critical Systems Realty and Hawaii Pacific Teleport have opened AlohaNAP, a new data center and colocation services provider near Wet ‘N Wild waterpark in Kapolei.
Along with DR Fortress and SystemMetrics, it is one of the few Hawaii businesses offering cloud services, colocation and other IT services.
The AlohaNAP facility was originally built by AT&T and lay dormant for a few years before 1547 Realty bought it. The company has similar data centers in New York and Wyoming.
Rob DeVita, chief sales officer at AlohaNAP, thinks it’s a good region because of the fiber and satellite connectivity in Hawaii.
