J. Todd Raymond
J. Todd Raymond
As CEO and Managing Partner in fifteenfortyseven Critical Systems Realty (“1547”), Todd is involved with running the operations of the business, as well as business development and firm strategy. Todd has a reputation for successfully building enterprise value, taking companies from start-up to executing an exit strategy. Before joining 1547, he served as CEO, President, COO, General Counsel, Controller, and Director of The Telx Group, Inc. during which time he guided the company through multiple financings, acquisitions, SEC registration, and two sales to private equity firms. Before joining Telx, Todd was a founder of Stratus Services Group, Inc., an engineering and staffing services company, and served as its General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. During his tenure, he guided Stratus through multiple private capital raises, the acquisition of over a dozen businesses, and in April 2000, the Initial Public Offering of the company’s stock on NASDAQ.
Todd holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Fairfield University, a Juris Doctor (JD) from Albany Law School of Union University, and is completing a Master of Laws (LLM) in Finance Law from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law.
He is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), the Wine & Food Society of New York, and the American Corporate Counsel Association as well as multiple bar and professional organizations.
Corey Welp
Corey Welp
Corey Welp is the Chief Investment Officer and Managing Partner of fifteenfortyseven Critical Systems Realty (“1547”). Mr. Welp is responsible for defining and implementing the firm’s investment strategy, overseeing portfolio construction, financial modeling, risk assessment, asset acquisition, and property monetization. He is also actively engaged in securing debt and equity capital and maintaining investor relations. Under his leadership, 1547 has successfully completed sixteen data center acquisitions across eight U.S. states and Canada, deploying approximately $1.2 billion to acquire and develop assets comprising approximately 1.95 million square feet and 219 Megawatts of power. With his expertise, strategic vision, and unwavering dedication to excellence, Mr. Welp continues to lead his Dallas-based team in their commitment to building a portfolio of world-class data center assets, driving the continued growth and success of 1547.
Prior to founding 1547, Mr. Welp established Oak Star Partners, a consulting firm that specialized in supporting alternative investment management firms in structuring their investment offerings and raising capital. Earlier in his career, he held executive positions in both boutique and major investment management firms, such as Henderson Global, AIM Investments, and Enterprise Capital Management, where he primarily worked in investment sales. Through his extensive network, he secured over $4 billion for investment opportunities across various asset classes, including technology and real estate.
Mr. Welp graduated from Creighton University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of ColoHouse, LLC, a national provider of colocation, cloud, managed and bare metal services.
Jerry Martin
Jerry Martin
Jerry is the Chief Construction & Engineering Officer and a co-founder of 1547 and The Martin Group, a premier national data center construction firm. With over 25 years of development experience including six years of direct data center development expertise, Jerry’s expertise in complex large-scale, and fast-track projects have made him knowledgeable about the intricacies of core and shell construction. Jerry has experience in both field supervision and project management of a variety of high-end construction projects nationwide with a track record of value engineering to maintain the budget and schedule goals. Through these projects, Jerry has developed relationships with industry-leading real estate and technology firms.
Jerry attended Stockton College and holds OSHA 30-hour, 7×24 Exchange, and AFCOM member licenses and certifications.
John Bonczek
John Bonczek
As the Chief Revenue Officer of 1547 for the last five years, John has run the day-to-day sales and marketing operations of the retail colocation business, as well as the creation, communication, and implementation of the company’s vision, mission, and strategy. John is a highly respected industry veteran with a reputation for successfully leading top sales organizations in the retail colocation data center industry.
Before joining 1547, John served as Vice President at Digital Realty Trust | Telx for 14 years. He received his undergraduate degree from Seton Hall University and his MBA from Stillman School of Business.
